in this study we evaluated the initial response promoted by the atherosclerotic plaque (AP) secreted factors over healthy endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs), in order to understand the mechanisms underlying the neovascularization and vascular remodeling properties assigned to these cells and to use them as cell therapy in cardiovascular diseases.
