Replication data for: Squirrels and the city: Exploring the development of the gut-brain axis via maternal effects in response to urbanization in wild eastern grey squirrels (Sciurus carolinensis)

The dataset comprises R script, 16S metabarcoding raw data, and metadata information for the study on maternal matching in conjunction with urbanization in wild eastern grey squirrels in Southern Ontario: Johnston Green, University of Guelph, Guelph, ON; University of Guelph Arboretum, Guelph, ON; and rare Charitable Research Reserve, Cambridge, ON. The purpose of this data was to determine if offspring microbiome and HPA-axis matched their adult female counterparts for their respective environments.
