Comparative genomic and functional analysis of two Escherichia coli L-form strains reveals the dispensability of multiple essential genes

We determined the whole genome sequences of two previously established E. coli L-forms (LWF+ and NC-7) and performed comparative genomic analysis using the verified gene variants during adaptive evolution.
