Sequencing and annotation of equine MHC class II region

In this study we have sequenced, assembled and annotated equine MHC class II region. Eight bacterial artificial chromosome clones (CHORI-241 library, Thoroughbred horse Bravo) spanning the minimum tilling-path of the equine MHC class II region and two long-range PCR products were sequenced with long-read PacBio technology. Obtained sequences were assembled in a single Bravo MHC class II sequence and 34 genes we located on this sequence.
