This dataset contains the data supporting the findings of the paper "Public Transport across Models and Scales: A Case Study of the Munich Network" by the authors.Network dataFile: bus_network.gmlRepresentation of the Munich bus network. The network is directed and weighted. Each node carries as attributes its name as well as coordinates in the WGS 84 and EPSG:31468 reference system. The weight of each arc reflects the number of routes that use it.Simulation dataEach data file for every model exists for two different runs, `bus-25perc` (or `bus`) and `mvv-5perc` (or `mvv`). The former was used to compare the models with each other, and the latter to compare the model with the MVV data.MATSim & MCNFFiles: MATSim-trips_[run].csv, MCNF-trips_[run].csvList of trips. For each trip, it holds the ID of the entry and exit nodes (→ bus network) (`entry_node`, `exit_node`), the time spent in a vehicle in minutes (`in_vehicle_time`), the distance between entry and exit node in kilometers (`endpoint_distance`), and an ID for the trip (`trip_id`).Files: MATSim-nodes_[run].csv, MCNF-nodes_[run].csvList of nodes. For each node, it holds its ID (→ bus network) (`stop`) and the number of times among all the trips it was an access, egress, or passthrough node (`access`, `egress`, `passthrough`).Files: MATSim-arcs_[run].csv, MCNF-arcs_[run].csvList of arcs. For each arc, it holds its (directed) pair of the arc's nodes' IDs (→ bus network) (`arc`), the absolute number and relative proportion of times among all the trips it was passed (`utilization`, `frequency`).IRWFile: IRW-trips_[run].csvList of trips. For each trip, it holds the ID of the entry and exit nodes (→ bus network) (`entry_node`, `exit_node`), the number of steps a trip took (`trip_steps`), and the distance along the trips arcs as well as between entry and exit node in kilometers (`trip_length`, `trip_distance`). File: IRW-nodes_[run].csvList of nodes. For each node, it holds its ID (→ bus network) (`node_id`) and the proportion of times among all the trips it was an access, egress, or passthrough node (`access`, `egress`, `passthrough`).File: IRW-arcs_[run].csvList of arcs. For each arc, it holds its (directed) pair of the arc's nodes' IDs (→ bus network) (`arc`), the proportion of times among all the trips it was passed (`frequency`).Reference dataFile: MVV-nodes_bus.csvList of nodes. For each node, it holds its ID (→ bus network) (`stop_id`) and the (average) number of times among all the trips it was an access or egress node (`access`, `egress`).
