Forest and wildlife protection zones, prescribed wild rest areas Tyrol

Forest and wildlife protection zones are areas in mountain areas that aim to voluntarily renounce access to or use of these areas by winter sports enthusiasts and recreational users in winter. Wild rest areas are areas that have been designated by the authority pursuant to §45 of the Tyrolean Hunting Act by ordinance on the protection of wild game in the vicinity of game feeding. These areas may not be entered or used outside the roads and paths intended for general use, including the local hiking trails, as well as outside the local ski routes, designated ski runs and cross-country ski trails in winter.
