资源简介:
By application of in-situ resonant inelastic X-ray scattering (RIXS) we aim to elucidate the electronic structural changes at highly catalytic active Fe sites of transition metal layered double hydroxide (LDH) catalysts during the electrochemical oxygen evolution reaction (OER). In particular, by using in situ RIXS 1s3p we propose to investigate the appearance of catalytically active Fe4+ species that have been calculated to be present during OER related potentials, but yet not validated experimentally. Our novel in-situ cell was designed to address the challenging in situ conditions and will enable us to reach higher current densities, thanks to the enhanced mass transport, and thus to investigate a wider potential range, precluded to previous XAS studies with wet cells.
