Data on elemental concentrations in fruit and soil, with additional relevant sample details.

The dataset includes the elemental concentrations in 23 wild edible fruit species and four cultivated fruit species from the Oromia and Southern Nations Nationalities and Peoples regions of Ethiopia. Data are presented for both the fresh edible portions and on a dry matter basis. Additionally, the dataset reports the elemental contents of composite soil samples collected from beneath the canopies of the fruit-bearing plants, provided on a dry matter basis. Other metadata, including GPS location and altitude of the sampling sites is included.
