Monthly number of moviegoers in South Korea Jan-Apr 2020

In April 2020, the number of moviegoers in South Korea was at an all-time low of approximately 970 thousand people. This was the first time the number had dropped beneath one million since the data was first collected in 2004. Such a drastic decrease in moviegoers was due to the COVID-19 pandemic, as people avoided going to crowded places like the movie theater.
