Photograph of the painting "Shiek's Daughter" by Nathaldi Siehel, depicting an arabasque woman holding a lute, [s.d.]. The woman stands at center, apparently dressed in Japanese-style robes, her legs bound close together by the skirt, on which a floral pattern can be seen. She rests a lute-like string instrument between her left hip and the corresponding hand, while she holds her other arm up and back, free of the instrument, as if in presentation. Her hair is dark and thick, and drapes backwards off her shoulders. Her eye makeup is heavy and dark, similar to her lips. Her complexion is slightly tan. An urn sits just to the left, while flower blossoms can be seen on the ground over a patterned rug. Other objects are indistinctly suggested in the background.
