Parkes observations for project P602 semester 2007OCTS_01

We have detected dispersed radio pulsations positionally coincident with\na magnetar candidate. If they arise from the magnetar, this would be\nonly the second such instance. On the other hand, maybe the candidate\nis not a magnetar - but the unusual radio pulsations are certainly real.\nWe therefore wish to get to the bottom of this potentially very exciting\ndiscovery. The immediate need is to characterize the behavior of the\nradio emission, and over a period of approximately one year attempt to\nobtain a timing position to compare to the precisely-known position of\nthe X-ray source.
