Isolation and comparison of native ericoid mycorrhizal fungi present on ericaceous plants within South Africa

The data and figures were generated from a thesis, which focused on the associations between ericaceous plants in the Fynbos regions with fungi at their roots. The main aims were to gain a deeper understanding of the fungal diversity of these beneficial fungi, and to gain more knowledge on ericoid mycorrhizal fungi (ErMF) that are typically associated with these plants. Erica spp. and Vaccinium sp. growing in the Fynbos region were the main plants focused on this this research.
