The purpose of this study was to develop a measure of musicians’ self-efficacy based on three constructs related to music practice. An online questionnaire was designed to assess self-efficacy beliefs regarding three constructs related to music practice: error identification, error-source identification, and error remediation. The questionnaire items were adapted to measure each of the three constructs across four latent sub-constructs: rhythm, intonation, sound production, interpretation. Exploratory factor analysis was used to determine the extent to which the questionnaire items related to an underlying theoretical structure. Results from the exploratory factor analysis suggest each of the adapted measurement instruments in the questionnaire align with a single factor model. The sample consisted of university undergraduate music majors, 18 years and older (<i>N </i>= 80) from two large NASM accredited schools of music in the Mountain West.
