In the absence of BATF in Treg accessibility at the enhancer regions of Treg specific genes involved in different aspects of Treg biology including suppressive function, homeostasis, tissue adaptation and stability was reduced. Overall design: Spleenocytes from two mice, wild-type Treg (WLT) and BATF knock-out Treg (TBKLT), were prepared for ATAC seq (Assay for transposase accessible chromatin with sequencing) between 5-7 weeks of age.
