Leopard (*Panthera pardus*) microsatellite genetic data collected from Mpumalanga Province, South Africa

Data was originally collected and used for the following publication; https://doi.org/10.1007/s10531-022-02531-5 <br> Full methodology and data analysis is outlined in the article. <br> This microsatellite data was collected from 33 wild leopards across the Mpumalanga Province, South Africa. A total of 18 loci were used in the study and all 18 are available in the attached data file. The file is uploaded in an Excel file (GenAlEx), so it can easily be converted into other data analysis formats. <br> There are 3 tabs in the file; 1 - The microsatellite data 2 - GPS locations of where the leopards were captured / sample collected 3 - A breakdown of the animals ID and the reserve/region the sample was collected <br> Author contact email : [e-mail]
