The noise classification of land transport infrastructure is intended to classify all tracks with an annual average daily traffic of more than 5000 vehicles per day for roadways and 50 trains per day for railways. Tracks are classified into 5 categories (1 being considered the noisest sum, and 5 least noisy). A noise-affected sector arises from this classification, within which building rules apply.
