This article examines global competence as one of the essential components of 21st century teacher education. In the modern era of globalization, digital communication, international cooperation, and cultural diversity, teachers are expected to possess not only professional and pedagogical knowledge but also the ability to function effectively in multicultural and interconnected environments. The paper discusses the concept of global competence, its main dimensions, and its significance in preparing future educators for contemporary educational challenges. Particular attention is paid to intercultural communication, critical thinking, digital literacy, collaboration, and social responsibility as important aspects of globally competent teaching. The article also explores theoretical approaches and practical strategies for integrating global competence into teacher education programs. It emphasizes that globally competent teachers can foster tolerance, cultural awareness, inclusive education, and active citizenship among learners. The study concludes that the development of global competence in teacher education contributes to the formation of reflective, innovative, and internationally minded educators capable of responding effectively to the demands of the 21st century.
