This layer is a compilation of native vegetation mapping products in the Wollongong, Shellharbour and Kiama local government areas. The layer was originally compiled as a key dataset for input to the Illawarra Biodiversity Investment Opportunities Map (BIO Map). To compile the layer a series of previously existing maps were stitched together and map units assigned to NSW Plant Community Types (PCTs) as held in the BioNet Vegetation Classification database and incorporated into biobanking tools as at 31st December 2016. Map units have also been related to threatened ecological communities listed under the NSW TSC Act (1995) and the Commonwealth EPBC Act (1999) as at 31st December 2016.\r\nVIS_ID 4678
