VPRS 7170 Crown Solicitor Opinion Books

This series consists mostly of transcribed copies of opinions on a range of legal issues raised by the Mines Department provided by the Crown Solicitor or staff acting on their behalf. Later opinions are typed copies. It is unknown if similar volume were created which predate or postdate the volumes held. Additionally there is no volume in this series for the years 1878-1891 inclusive. The first volume contained the label on the spine that read Law Officers' Opinions that was the original title allocated to this series by a service provider. An evaluation of the supplied documentation in 2025 amended the series title and added this series description.
