Whole genome sequencing of Enterococcus raffinosus isolated from a patient in Japan

Enterococcus faecium and Enterococcus faecalis are the major species of enterococci that cause infections in human. Although genomic sequence data of these species has been collected steadily, few genome information on other enterococci has been reported. In this study, whole genome sequencing of Enterococcus raffinosus isolated from a hospitalized patient in Japan was used to investigate the genomic characteristics such as the presence of antimicrobial resistant genes.
