N2YCH CHU 7.850 MHz from April 8, 2024 Solar Eclipse
收藏资源简介:
Radio: Elecraft KX2 GPS-disciplined: No AGC: On Antenna: I used a Chelegance MC-750 in a vertical configuration Lat/lon: 44.24017632 -73.29627406 QRM: I transmitted from another vertical on 20m FT8 nearby. I hope it did not affect the reception on 40meters Notes: Sorry I didn't know to turn off the AGC...I could have but checking the radio it was on and in the fast mode. I did a POTA activation and was running FT8 on 20 meters nearby but I hope it was far enough away from 40 meters to not have an effect. If you see de-sensing every 15 seconds, that would be me. Doing this at a state park in Vermont, I ended up needing to explain what I was doing about 100 times...people certainly were accepting of the fact and even wowed when I explained I was participating in a propagation study of radio waves during the eclipse. I even had people help me carry my bags in and out of the park...thanks for letting me participate. I hope my data helps the cause.
