Epitranscriptomic regulation controls information flow through the central dogma and provides new opportunities to control the cellular outputs at the RNA level. However, both basic science and translational applications are limited by a lack of methods to target RNA specifically. Here we present a novel protein engineering approach to construct probgrammable RNA regulatory systems from human parts: CRISPR/Cas-Inspired RNA Targeting System (CIRTS). Overall design: RNA-seq experiments were performed on mRNA extracted from HEK-293T cells with three biological replicates; each condition includes three replicates containing a non-targeting (NT) gRNA and three replicates containing a on-target gRNA
