The dataset contains 10,705 viral Operational Taxonomic Units (vOTUs) in fasta format recovered from 20 hypersaline environments across the world as well as viral sequences deposited in public databases. The sequences correspond to the representative sequence of each cluster after dereplicating at 95% identity and 85% coverage.
