VPRS 17290 Factory Building Application Book, F prefix

The series comprises volumes that contain indexes (to applicants and locations) and a numerical register of applications. The register provides applications' dates, file number references to Town Clerk's Correspondence (see VPRS 3183. Also see City of Melbourne (COM) series 1961 held by City of Melbourne), application numbers, applicants' names and addresses, actions taken.This series registers and indexes factory permit files which are held by the City of Melbourne in COM series 1964 (that series has not been transferred to PROV).Volumes are numbered sequentially and contents are arranged :- Indexes - alphabetical by name of applicant and by street name.- Register - numerical by sequential application number.
