AOS: condensation particle counter

The nsaaoscpcX1.a1 datastream contains measurements of aerosol concentration from the Aerosol Observing System (AOS) condensation particle counter. This instrument measures submicron aerosol particle number concentration by condensing fluid onto particles and causing them to grow to sizes that are easily detectable by optical scattering, using a condensing liquid that is typically an alcohol or water. The data were collected at Facility X1 (External Data), which is located at the NSA site (North Slope, Alaska), between September 1, 2011, and September 1, 2021.
