Research assessment ontology

The research assessment ontology is a formal model of the domain of research assessment, developed by the CoARA-ERIP Community of Practice. It is expressed in an OWL reasoning layer (41 classes, 12 object properties, 5 datatype properties, 32 individuals) and a SKOS concept layer, kept in step from a single authoring workbook. Its individuals are the CoARA-ERIP instruments and core values together with the recognised frameworks, declarations, and metrics of the wider field. It is cross-linked to the CoARA-ERIP controlled vocabulary (glossary), 10.5281/zenodo.22982101, so that the community's own terms and the wider-field concepts form one connected graph. The ontology and its concept layer are published as linked data under the persistent namespace https://w3id.org/coara-erip/ontology. The record comprises the specification (Word and PDF/A), the OWL (Turtle), the SKOS (Turtle and JSON-LD), and the workbook source.
