After taking a recess for 11 war and post-war years, the 1952 Los Angeles International Automobile Show is being designed on a level scale to surpass any exhibition of the kind yet projected in the United States. Roy S Carrington, president, Los Angeles Motor Car Dealers Association and chairman of the show committee, made this statement today, declaring complete lines of 19 American and 12 foreign car producers will be included in the lavish display. Dates for the "cavalcade of cars" to be held in Los Angeles' Pan-Pacific Auditorium, Carrington said, are March 7 to 16, ten days in which the newest luxury models for the highway will be enshrined against a glamorous background of color and lighting. Decorative effects in the show's color scheme of gray-chartreuse-dubonnet, the chairman explained, will be installed at a cost in excess of $25,000. Musical features will include Russ Morgan and his famous band, accompanied by the Colleens, a group of "singing lovelies". Every new model to be observed this year, Carrington continued, will be exhibited. In the year's output of motoring developments he predicted show goers will find new points in increased power, added safety, ease in handling, spacious interiors, beauty in color and design and extensive luxury.
