Collection of existing information on traits of the Northern Adriatic polychaetes

This dataset was developed for the aims of the project ECOSISTER (Ecosystem for Sustainable Transition in Emilia-Romagna), WP3 of Spoke 5. It aims to collect available information on 32 biological, ecological, commercial traits of exploited/potentially exploitable North Adriatic polychaete species (Arenicola marina, Diopatra neapolitana, Eunice aphroditois, Halla parthenopeia, Hediste diversicolor, Hermodice carunculata, Marphysa sanguinea, Perinereis cultrifera, Perinereis rullieri, Sabella spallanzanii, Scoletoma laurentiana) in the regional/national context. Information is obtained and collected from authorative reference, publication or database (e.g., article, book or specific biodiversity databases such as WORMS, Biotic, Polytraits). The dataset is provided in two formats: Microsoft Excel XLSX file, including 4 sheets (Dataset, Traits, Fields, Taxonomy) 4 CSV files (UTF-8) corresponding to the 4 sheets of the Excel file. The Excel sheet/CSV file "Dataset" represents an annotated list of traits, which consists of 1017 records and 5 fields: TraitID, ScientificName, Trait, MeasurementOrFact and Source.
