Replication Data for: Contestability, Overcrowding and Electoral competition in Majoritarian Systems

This database includes the data used in the ARDL model describing the equilibrium time path of candidate and party ENP in Canada from 1870 through 2015. The paper is currently in circulation but an early working paper is listed below. The paper is innovative in treating the dynamic structure of party ENP as asymmetric and in doing so uncovers evidence of a long run decline in ENP following WW2 and a rise in the fringe of smaller political parties.
