Given their adaptation in various environments, strong capacity of growth and interesting wood properties, Eucalyptus have become the most planted hardwood in the world (20 Mha in 2009). These species are used in the pulp and paper, timber and oil industry. Its presence in diverse environments makes it also a model genera for the study of adaptation of planted forests to climate changes.
