Good and bad classification of puri ( Fried Bread)

The project titled
"Good and Bad Classification of Puri (Fried Bread)" focuses on developing a machine learning-based image classification system to automatically classify puri samples into two categories: Good Puri (fresh and high-quality) and Bad Puri (spoiled, stale, or poor-quality). The dataset contains more than 1000 images, equally distributed between good 500 and bad 500 puri samples.
The images were captured using a Samsung Galaxy A30 smartphone equipped with a 16 MP + 5 MP Dual Rear Camera, which provides clear and detailed images for analyzing the texture, color, puffiness, and surface characteristics of puri. Images were collected under controlled conditions using a white background, natural daylight, and 360° LED lighting to ensure consistency and high image quality.
The objective of this project is to develop an accurate image classification model that can automatically distinguish between fresh and spoiled puri, helping improve food quality inspection, reduce manual effort, and support automation in the food industry.
