资源简介:

Dataset necessary to reproduce the analyses and results presented in the paper. Wei, Z., Zhang, J., Zhao, Y. (2025). Data Assimilation-Based Improved Estimation of Tidal Energy Dissipation and its Impacts on Tidal Dynamics in Chinese Marginal Seas, submitted to Limnology & Oceanography Letters. The dataset contains 4 folders:"BDS" includes the experimental results with only bottom friction dissipation."FDS-BLK", "FDS-ZE", "FDS-JL" include the results with both bottom friction dissipation and internal tide dissipation under the Blakely et al. (2022, BLK), Zaron and Egbert (2006, ZE), and Jayne and St. Laurent (2001, JL) schemes. In each folder:• "zeta_inver.dat" and "sigma_inver.dat" are the simulated amplitude and phase lag of M2 tide, respectively.• "zetaU.dat" ("zetaV.dat") and "sigmaU.dat" ("sigmaV.dat") are the simulated amplitude and phase lag of M2 tidal current, respectively. • "cit_inver.dat" is the estimated spatially varying internal wave drag to parameterize internal tide dissipation.• "manning.dat" is the estimated spatially varying Manning's n coefficient to parameterize bottom friction dissipation. • "bfd.dat" is the bottom friction dissipation divided by the density (ρ).• "itd.dat" is the internal tide dissipation divided by ρ.• "dla.dat" is the lateral dissipation divided by ρ.• "eqinput.dat" is the tidal energy input by equilibrium tide divided by ρ.• "salinput.dat" is the tidal energy input by self-attraction and loading tides divided by ρ.• "flux.dat" is the tidal flux divergence divided by ρ. Note that not all folders contain all of the files mentioned above; only the data necessary for the analysis presented in the paper are provided.
