Dataset for forest classification and cuttings

The dataset for forest classification for territory of Ukraine for scientists, conservationists, foresters and other stakeholders involved in monitoring forest changes. The created dataset contains 70 locations in the western part of Ukraine with a total area of 660 th. ha with satellite images with a resolution of 10 m per pixel and forest masks corresponding to each location across Ukraine. The data was collected from the Copernicus Sentinel-2 satellite. This dataset created within HORIZON Europe project “Satellites for Wilderness Inspection and Forest Threat Tracking” (SWIFTT) No. 101082732. A 2021 satellite image is available for each location. The name of the file with the satellite image has the following structure NBox-YYYY-MM-DD-S2.tif, where N is the unique number of the location, YYYY-MM-DD is the year, month and day for which the image is available. Each satellite image contains 12 spectral bands (4 bands with a spatial resolution of 10 meters, others - warped to 10 meters). There is also a forest mask for each location. The value on the mask 1 corresponds to the forest, the value 0 - no forest. The structure of the forest mask name NBox_forest.tif, where N is the location number.
