Data and analysis code for: Impact of Prior Colonization with Multidrug-Resistant Organisms on Etiology, Empirical Therapy Concordance, and Clinical Outcomes in Hospital-Acquired and Ventilator-Associated Pneumonia — A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

Complete data and reproducible R analysis code for the systematic review and meta-analysis prospectively registered as PROSPERO CRD420261374138.</p><p>The archive contains: (i) seven CSV data files with all extracted study-level counts and continuous outcomes for the 34 included studies (19,084 patients; 15,619 with VAP, 3,465 with HAP; 18 countries, six continents; publications 2008–2025); (ii) a fully modular R analysis pipeline (metafor 4.6, meta 7.0) covering random-effects meta-analyses of concordance (overall and by MDRO type), all-cause mortality, empirical-therapy appropriateness, and three continuous outcomes (ICU LOS, hospital LOS, mechanical ventilation duration), plus meta-regression (region, publication year, NOS score, surveillance strategy), five sensitivity analyses (leave-one-out, high-quality-only, cohort-only, universal-surveillance-only, trim-and-fill), and Egger and Begg tests for small-study effects; (iii) all eight manuscript figures in PNG (300 dpi) and SVG formats; (iv) a data dictionary defining every variable in every CSV; and (v) full documentation.</p><p>Search span: database inception to 31 December 2025 (six bibliographic databases: MEDLINE, Embase, CENTRAL, CINAHL, Scopus, Web of Science; three registries: PROSPERO, ClinicalTrials.gov, WHO ICTRP). Reporting compliant with PRISMA 2020.</p><p>Running <code>Rscript code/run_all.R</code> from the repository root reproduces every pooled estimate, every subgroup, every sensitivity analysis, and every figure in the manuscript in under two minutes.
