资源简介:

This dataset contains anonymized household-level survey data (n = 250) collected via face-to-face interviews in the Kalinchok, Bigu, and Gaurishankar rural municipalities of Dolakha District, within the Gaurishankar Conservation Area (GCA), Nepal. The dataset supports two related manuscripts: one examining human-wildlife conflict patterns, severity, and Traditional Ecological Knowledge-based mitigation; and a companion study examining household conservation attitudes, institutional and compensation satisfaction, and conflict-reporting behavior. Both use different variable subsets of this same underlying survey. Sampling: 250 households were surveyed across 9 wards, selected via availability sampling. Sample size was determined using Israel's (1992) formula at 95% confidence, 6.1% precision. Anonymization: Household identifiers are sequential codes (HH01–HH250). Location is recorded at ward level only; village/settlement-level names have been removed to reduce re-identification risk. Ethics: Verbal informed consent was obtained from all participants prior to interview. Respondents were informed of their right to decline participation or withdraw at any time. See the 'Data_Dictionary' tab within the uploaded file for full variable definitions.
