Integration of in silico and in vitro approaches to design and conduct transcriptomic drug screening in patient-derived neural cells, in order to survey novel pathologies and points of intervention in schizophrenia. Here we compare the transcriptional responses of eight commonly used cancer cell lines (CCLs) directly to that of human induced pluripotent stem cell (hiPSC)-derived neural progenitor cells (NPCs) from twelve individuals with SZ and twelve controls across 135 drugs, generating over 4,300 unique drug-response transcriptional signatures.
