Gut microbiota of Litopenaeus vannamei fed increasing levels of bacterial single cell protein as fishmeal replacement

A dose-response nutritional trial was conducted to evaluate the use of bacterial single cell protein (BSCP) as an alternative protein source to fishmeal (FM) in Litopenaeus vannamei diets. Four experimental diets were formulated with increasing levels of FM replacement: 0%, 25%, 50%, and 75%, corresponding to 0, 40, 80, and 120 g BSCP/kg feed.
