Buffalo - Cyclic and Dynamic Tests of Single Joint with Rinaldi Ground Motions
收藏资源简介:
The purpose of this experiment was to investigate the behavior of the joints under cyclic and dynamic loading. The east joint was first investigated using several cycles at constant speed and then varying rates were used to examine the influence of the loading rate on the performance of the pipe-liner system. The west joint was then tested dynamically with Rinaldi ground motions. The Rinaldi ground motion contains a displacement spike with large amplitude, followed by a series of small vibrations. This type of ground motion was chosen to investigate the dynamic behavior of the lined joints under the ground motions with a sudden, large impulse. In the tests, three different amplitudes (50%, 100% and 125% of full scale) were used as input motions.
