In the present study, the induction of systemic resistance in Hemerocallis citrina Datong Huanghua by Thrips palmi feeding was investigated at the biochemical and molecular levels. Hemerocallis citrina Datong Huanghua inoculated with Thrips palmi was used to determine the content of nutrients and secondary metabolites and defense enzyme activity in leaves to elucidate the physiological changes that induced defense to Thrips palmi. Then, the transcriptome analysis of thrips-infested leaves was performed, using healthy leaves as control. Differentially expressed genes were identified, and the main transcription factors and their expression patterns were analyzed.
