Optimal cuckoo egg types equal the host egg type which achieves the lowest ΔTC value/rejection probability when averaged over all possible pair wise combinations in which the egg features. Rejection rates are predicted from a univariate logistic regression of ΔTC on the probability of rejecting a parasitic egg (Figure 2).
