Cross validation of Cultural Scripts of Trauma Inventory, Clinical Aspects of Historical Trauma Questionnaire and Assessment of Protective Factors of Long-term Effects of Trauma in Eastern African Population

This project was conducted in an East African population with the following objectives: To assess culturally specific post-traumatic sequelae To develop and validate the Cultural Script of Trauma Inventory (CSTI) To validate the Clinical Aspects of Historical Trauma measure To examine protective and risk factors associated with post-traumatic sequelae To determine the prevalence of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Complex PTSD, and Historical Trauma The study aimed to improve understanding of trauma experiences and trauma-related outcomes within the cultural context of East African communities. The data will be published in different papers and the first paper is titled: Eastern African Expressions of Suffering: a new Cultural Scripts of Trauma InventoryThe dataset and codebook are located in the same folder. Variable codes are provided in the first row of each Excel sheet.
