资源简介:
Fredericella sultana is the most common invertebrate bryozoan host of Tetracapsuloides bryosalmonae (Myxozoa), the causative agent of proliferative kidney disease in salmonids. The spores of T. bryosalmonae develop first as covert infection with the bryozoan body wall. At the time of overt infection, multicellular parasite sacs produce and multiply in the body cavity of bryozoan. There has not been any gene expression study on the modulation of transcriptome of F. sultana in response to T. bryosalmonae development. This study demonstrates first transcriptomic changes in the zooids of F. sultana during the T. bryosalmonae development.
