Brazil: pets under vulnerable conditions 2020, by species

In 2020, Brazil had approximately 6.1 million dogs and 2.7 million cats under vulnerable conditions. Vulnerable animals are those who live under the care of families classified below the poverty line, or who live on the streets, but receive care from people. In the same year, there were 167.6 million pets in the country.
