OAB-metabolism association

BJUI Compass article: Overactive bladder (OAB) is strongly associated with metabolic syndromes such as diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. However, it remains unclear whether OAB affects all-cause and cardiovascular mortality. Using data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES), we analyzed these associations and found that OAB significantly increased all-cause and cardiovascular mortality in women. Additionally, we discovered that metabolic-related TyG indices are valuable predictors for OAB. This knowledge is valuable for the diagnosis and treatment of OAB patients.
