Protecting threatened flora and fauna habitat in and around Wellington Park

This project will work through the 'Action Plan for the Management of the Vegetation of the Glenorchy Mountain Bike Area 2013'. The plan was developed to protect the valuable natural assets in this area which include a number of Threatened Vegetation Communities, listed threatened plants, and habitat for great diversity of native fauna. The Green Army team will focus on specific actions to protect the natural and cultural values of the area while also maximising the areas importance as a recreational and community facility. The team will be: undertaking extensive weeding of seeding Radiata pines, Spanish Heath and Boneseed; undertaking vegetation monitoring; vegetation and weed surveys; feral cat surveys and debris removal off tracks.
