The research project contemplates the isolation, identification, molecular characterization and massification of microorganisms with cyanide degrading capacity; in order to use native microorganisms in a system of aerated bioreactors, and achieve the bioremediation of environmental liabilities from mining activities in the Tacna Region. In addition, the genomic analysis of the most efficient microorganisms will be carried out to enhance this process with the study of the genes that are expressed during the metabolism of this toxic compound.
