DEMETHOXYCURCUMIN AND ITS EFFECTS ON ACANTHAMOEBA TRIANGULARIS

This study aimed to investigate the amoebicidal activity of demethoxycurcumin and its effect on a transcriptional expression of Acanthamoeba autophagy in surviving amoebas, as well as analyze the interaction of demethoxycurcumin and Acanthamoeba candidate proteins, a vacuolar protein sorting 34 (Vps34) and a cell division control protein 2b (Cdc2b).
