本研究旨在探究影响高中毕业生参与高等教育的因素，以构建预测高等教育学生规模变化的预测模型。研究内容涵盖：理想的学习领域/继续深造的动机/选择学习领域的原因/高考科目及成绩、调查期间偏好变化及其原因、教育经历、从高中至高等教育的转学数据（HAVO, VWO naar hoger onderwijs）、学校测试成绩（CITO）、预期考试成绩、有无高等教育期望就业前景、有无高等教育预期未来收入、作出选择的充分信息及其来源、高等教育的成本及其影响、就业情况、学生信息、家庭背景的详细数据。背景变量包括：基本特征/居住地/家庭特征/父母家庭/家庭/职业/就业/收入/资本资产/教育/宗教。
