In 2018, the maternal mortality rate in Morocco stood at 72.6 deaths per 100,000 live births. The risk of death for pregnant women in the country decreased considerably over the years. In 1992, by comparison, 332 mothers in every 100,000 live births died due to complications related to pregnancy.
