Impact of 7EL chromosome addition on Triticum aestivum (bread wheat) response to Fusarium graminearum

The goal of this project was to understand the mechanism of action of the resistance to Fusarium graminearum conferred by transferring an alien chromosome arm from Thinopyrum elongatum into Triticum aestivum (bread wheat). We compared transcriptional response to infection of two lines, one without the additional chromosome arm, 'Chinese spring' and one carrying the additional chromosome arm 'Chinese spring + 7EL'.
